Everything we do empowers children to become lifelong learners who champion sustainable behaviours for a healthier, happier planet.
Our passion is to help children become critical thinkers – prepared to face complex world challenges including global warming, overpopulation, food security & water shortages. We know critical thinking is about learning how to not only be a great thinker, but a great leader.
We explore the future of our world with children through a subject familiar and accessible to all – FOOD. Eating, sharing meals, cooking, buying food and understanding where it comes from is an easy conversation starter, even if our language is different.
The very act of sharing food is nurturing, collaborative and expressive. When we share new knowledge, experiences and ask children to explore a dilemma, experiment with options and discuss their ideas – exciting new solutions surface and this is the magic!
Our food sustainability educators and experts (from backgrounds including horticulture, ecology, biodiversity, farming and culinary arts) give children new insights and interactive experiences. Our team is led by Melissa Au who brings over 10 years of change management, learning and development experience and over 20 years cooking experience.
We also partner with Hong Kong’s education, government and non-profit organisations, such as Lung Fu Shan Environmental Centre, The University of Hong Kong and Feeding Hong Kong to create hands-on learning at school.
